About

Derby County Community Trust provide specific SEND provision within special schools and mainstream schools across Derbyshire.

We can shape an affordable programme of support to meet your school’s needs. The provision available to schools includes:

  • Curriculum Coaching: A vast array of sporting activities available to support the development of physical literacy, its aim is to complement existing Physical Education provision
  • Competition Plus Events: Open to SEND pupils from mainstream and special schools, events cover a number of sports and activities and are advertised on the Derby County Community Trust’s Schools Affiliation Events Calendar
  • Lunch time/after school extra curricular coaching

“Derby County Community Trust provide a weekly after school club for students who have a learning difficulty, an impairment with their emotional and/or social skills and who find making friends very difficult and will often be mute and feel isolated in lessons. This after school club intervention has led to the students making so much progress in their confidence which has been reflected in their lessons.”
