TEAM TALK

Team Talk is Derby County Community Trust’s men’s peer support programme designed to provide a ‘safe space’ to talk and social with others.

Team Talk offers a range of opportunities to social and mix with new people. This includes monthly activities such as workshops, walking groups and Q+A events with a new special guest each month.

Our hubs are open to any males aged 18+ to attend.

Key groups we work with include those recovering from substance misuse, students and those with high-pressure jobs, but we invite all males from any background to get in touch if we could support them.

We can also signpost participants to further medical support or intervention where necessary.

Team Talk with Derby County Community Trust Podcast

DCCT introduces a new podcast that aims to mirror its Team Talk initiative in providing males with a safe space to talk. You’ll hear the stories of figures from in and around football along with those outside of the game discussing their lives and some of the challenges and hurdles they’ve had to overcome, as well as a healthy dose of light-hearted chat

Upcoming events

We haven't got any events planned at the moment.

“We know the stigma and weight behind mental health can weigh heavy on a man, but we’re here for you. The thought of sitting in a room and talking about your feelings can be daunting, but the groups are far from that, we create a friendships, fun and laughter. Yes at times we will take a deeper dive into ourselves but know that when you do, you won’t be alone. For anyone sitting on the fence, please reach out and we assure you that once you take that first step, you won’t look back.”
Luke Wilkinson, Health Team Leader and Lucas Carter, Physical Activity and Health Support Officer.
