About
Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of professional football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
In partnership with the Premier League, we work with schools to deliver fun, educational sessions across a range of programmes. They channel the power of football and Derby County to inspire pupils to engage in a number of different curriculum areas.
Our programmes include: Reading Stars (Year 5 and 6), Matchday Maths (Year 5 and 6), Communication and Listening (KS1 and KS2) and Resilient Rammie (KS1 and KS2).
Primary Stars also encompasses a wide teacher support package, mentoring staff members to increase their own confidence in delivering high quality PE lessons.
To bring the magic of Derby County to life even more, we work with schools to organise matchday or stadium based experiences where children get to see first hand how some of the skills they have learnt can be put into practice.
There are also opportunities for schools to take part in national competitions and celebrate key awareness days such as World Book Day with us.
Schools are able to book in various projects depending on their needs with each strand running over a half term or term (project specific).

“I found the teacher support process enriching, having the opportunity to work with a skilled and experienced coach, assessing how he adapts and tailors sessions to fit the needs of the children and still reach the outcome goals has been amazing. I feel much more confident from having the opportunity to work with the coach.”
