Y5/6 PLPS Girls Football Cup

LOCATION HAS CHANGED TO DERBY HIGH SCHOOL FROM MOORWAYS.

YEAR GROUP - Y5/6 Girls 

TIME – 09:30am – 14:00pm 

VENUE – The tournament will be held at Derby High School – the pitches will be grass based therefore players will need blades/moulded boots. Please bear in mind, metal studs/metal tipped blades will NOT be permitted 

NUMBER OF STUDENTS – 8 students per school (6 allowed on pitch at one time) 

 

OVERVIEW –   

Following on from the huge success of England’s Lionesses at EURO 2022, Derby County Community Trust are looking to increase the number of girls participating within Football. 

This is an ACHIEVE competition with winning sides going through to represent Derby County at the Premier League Primary Stars Girls Cup Regional Rounds.  

The competition will be broken into 2-stages featuring a group stage where teams will play each other once with the top two teams going into the knockout stages. Games will be 7-min halves with rolling subs throughout the games, which will refereed by Derby County Community Trust staff.  

Rules –  

Standard FA competition rules will apply with slight variations 

  • All Players should receive equal game time 

  •  NO Offside’s 

  • Roll on/Roll off substitutions 

Transport/Parking –  

Schools will need to park off site and enter through the Hills Way car park. 

No parents/spectators will be allowed on the school site, only school staff.
