KS2 Cross Country Relays & Team

OVERVIEW - This is an ACHIEVE competition, meaning it is a competitive opportunity to support pupils to reach their athletic potential.  The winning schools will go through to the County Competition. The top 2 teams from each category will go through to county.

Team cross-country competitions will take place at Moorways Athletics Stadium. Students will be running on grass, so need to wear appropriate footwear. Parking is free of charge at Moorways but will need to input registration into iPad at either reception or in the stadium changing rooms.  

The competition will have 4 race categories. 

Year ¾ Boys / Year ¾ girls / Year 5/6 Boys / Year 5/6 Girls 

Students will be running on grass, so need to wear appropriate footwear.

OVERVIEW - The course will vary in length for the different age groups with distances between 1km – 2km. Schools can enter multiple teams for each race category. Parents are allowed to spectate, there will be a designated area for schools/pupils.  

NUMBER OF STUDENTS - Teams consist of a maximum of 8 students, with the 4 quickest runners scores counting to the team result.
