NCS Summer
An unforgettable two weeks
At Derby County Community Trust we support over 400 young people to have an unforgettable experience learning to be more independent, confident and innovative through the NCS programme.
Our programme runs for two weeks every summer and focuses on the four key themes of NCS:
- Be Epic
- Live Life
- Do Good
- Go Party
In the two weeks you will experience a week on a residential retreat in Dearne Valley where they will take part in a number of fun activities and also learn skills to help them in life. During the second week you'll return back to the local community and take part in a project of your choosing to help make a positive impact. This could be volunteering, fundraising or transforming a local space, the choice really is yours!
After completing the programme it's time to celebrate and we host an event that showcases all your achievements giving you the chance to look back on what you have done in the summer and the positive impact you have made.
We have four groups for our summer programme spread across Derby and Long Eaton:
- Group 1: 4th-15th July (Derby)
- Group 2: 11th-22nd July (Long Eaton)
- Group 3: 18th-29th July (Derby)
- Group 4: 1st-12th August (Derby)
