A new partnership has been formed with Lees Brook Academy
Derby County Community Trust are pleased to announce a new partnership with Lees Brook Academy ahead of the 2024/25 academic year.
The partnership will enable students to study within the sixth form at Lees Brook alongside playing and training for Derby County on the post 16 Football & Education Programme.
Students will be in full-time education at the school with the option to study a Level 1 qualification in brick laying or a Level 3 Sport course.
In addition, they will train 3 times a week as part of the Derby County Community Trust Football & Education Programme with UEFA A and B licence coaches as well as playing in weekly fixtures in the EFL CEFA League, representing Derby County.
"We have been in discussion with DCCT for some time developing this partnership and I'm really pleased that we are in a position to launch it. We're really fortunate at Lees Brook to be able to offer a variety of educational routes and we feel it is really exciting to give students the option to study either the brick laying course or the sport qualification.''
Clare Watson, Lees Brook Principal
We are looking forward to working with Derby County Community Trust on the Post 16 Football & Education Programme, they have a brilliant reputation throughout Derbyshire and we are really pleased with the benefits this will bring to the school."
