Our Talent Identification Programme (TIPs) is an invite-only football programme which provides the opportunity for 5-12 year old boys to benefit from advanced coaching and to develop within the Derby County player pathway where applicable. 

Our Talent Identification Programme (TIPs) is an invite-only football programme which provides the opportunity for 5-12 year old boys to benefit from advanced coaching and to develop within the Derby County player pathway where applicable.

All sessions are designed to develop each participant across a range of skills relevant to the modern game, supporting them to progress in their technical and tactical ability through high tempo practices.

The sessions run weekly at three venues across Derbyshire. The timetable of coaching is designed to work in conjunction with schools & grass-roots clubs allowing players to continue playing within their local club whilst also attending TIPs. However, sessions provide individuals attending the opportunity to gain some extra coaching, a benefit for both the player and their club.

Within the programme players may be selected to compete in an Elite Game Programme where they will play against equivalent development programmes from other football clubs. This allows players to experience playing within a competitive environment. These fixtures are arranged during the school half terms.

If you would like to register your child please complete the form below. Once a space becomes available at your child’s age group and selected venue, you will receive an email with trial information. A trial consists of two free sessions, following this you will receive an email to regarding the outcome as to whether your child has been successful or unsuccessful.

Children must come equipped with a water bottle, suitable footwear, shinpads and suitable clothing for the weather (warm clothes, waterproofs, sunhat etc.). We advise against bringing any valubles to the session.
