Three Derby County Community Trust participants were part of six groups used to shoot the new 2026/27 Derby County PUMA Football Home Kit.
The launch campaign for the new kit is entitled ‘Black and White’ – paying homage to the core colours of the club, with a nod to the identity brand colours on the nape of the shirt’s neck, which displays ‘THE RAMS’ running through the stripe formation. The kit launch shoot was predominantly shot in black and white, echoing this sentiment.
The shirt’s main feature is six vertical greyscale stripes, representing the six core values of Derby County, and each of the groups that represent the varied parts of our football club. The stripes run centrally through the front of the shirt, accented by a V-neck black collar.
Mick is a participant on the Trust’s Neurological Disorders – Parkinson’s programme. After receiving his diagnosis in 2023, Mick joined the ‘Parkie Rams’ and never looked back. He’d never played football before but has found meeting people who are in a similar situation to him very comforting.
Julie is a participant on the Trust’s Active Recovery programme, which aims to support those who have undergone cancer treatment to regain confidence, fitness and strength. Julie has had breast cancer and on the Active Recovery programme she has been part of the gym classes and holistic wellbeing.
Will is one of the longest standing members of the Trust’s Down Syndrome football team, DS Active. He is a Derby County season ticket holder and on World Down Syndrome Day, he spoke in front of 30,000 Derby County faithful at Pride Park.
The PUMA kit will be available to buy from the Derby County Megastore and www.dcfcmegastore.co.uk from 8am on Friday 29th May.
