Rams Fans Encouraged to Bring A Pound to the Ground this weekend

This weekend, Derby County and Derby County Community Trust are calling on the Rams faithful as they launch the ‘Bring a Pound to the Ground’ initative at this weekend’s fixture against West Bromwich Albion.

Fans attending Friday evening’s game are encouraged to donate £1 as they enter Pride Park with donations going directly to Derby County Community Trust to help to fund their vital programmes that run across the city and county.

The Trust delivers life-changing work from supporting young people and families to improving mental and physical wellbeing, tackling social isolation and creating opportunities for those that need them most. Every pound donated will help the Trust to widen their reach and support more local people.

Paul Newman, CEO at Derby County Community Trust, said: “Our supporters have always shown incredible generosity in supporting the community. Bring a Pound to the Ground is a simple way for every fan to make a meaningful difference and a collective impact.”

Derby County Community Trust staff and volunteers will be located at turnstiles with donation buckets from 6.30pm on Friday.

This initiative will run in tandem with activations that are taking place at the fixture as part of EFL Community Weekend, during which EFL clubs will highlight the incredible work being carried out by football club charities.

If you can’t make the game on Friday but still wish to donate you can do so here.
