Derby County Community Trust hosted their annual Celebration of Dance event, this time sponsored by L.E.A.D IT Services at Derby Theatre, running over two days, joined by over 40 local primary schools within the city.

The Celebration of Dance event is a firm favourite amongst the events calendar, bringing together physical activity with the love of music, making for a fun, upbeat show for all involved.

Each day consisted of a morning performance and an afternoon performance, to which family members were encouraged to come along and cheer on their little ones.

The event was organised and hosted by Schools Events Officer, Alex Brennan, joined by a number of the Trust’s team, Cara from The One School of Dance, and not forgetting, Rammie and Ewie!

When asked for his thoughts on the event, Alex said, “The Celebration of Dance was a fantastic showcase of talent from across Derby city.

With 776 performers representing 43 schools, the atmosphere was electric across all four shows.

A huge thank you goes to the staff and schools whose hard work made the event such a resounding success.”
