FREE school holiday activity sessions for children who receive benefits-related free school meals
Our Holiday Activity and Food sessions run throughout the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. They help to keep children active and engaged over the break, whilst providing them with a healthy meal.

Eligible parents and carers will receive a HAF code and details of how to use the new HAF booking system via their child’s school.
Venues: Arboretum Park, DE23 8FZ and Derby Racecourse Hub, DE21 6AL .
Time: all sessions will run 11am-3pm.
Session Dates:
Week 1: Tuesday 4th August, Wednesday 5th August, Thursday 6th August 2026
Week 2: Tuesday 11th August, Wednesday 12th August, Thursday 13th August 2026.
Week 3: Tuesday 18th August, Wednesday 19th August, Thursday 20th August
Week 4: Tuesday 25th August, Wednesday 26th August, Thursday 27th August.
All sessions are available at both Arboretum Park and Derby Racecourse Hub.
We sat down with two participants from our HAF sessions at the Derby Racecourse Hub. Twin brothers, Jaydon and Jordan, were regular attendees throughout summer 2025.
Jaydon has an eye condition, so it was important he felt at ease whilst participating.
“I get help with my vision, I feel supported. We have both made lots of new friends since being here and we enjoy playing basketball and practicing our tennis skills.”
