Derby County Community Trust is looking to expand its board of trustees. The charity is seeking applicants with a specific professional background to supplement existing expertise on the board.

We are looking to augment our already strong Board of Trustees, in the area of Safeguarding. The trustee responsible for Safeguarding has delegated responsibility from the Board of Trustees to support the Safeguarding and Compliance Manager to ensure the organisation maintains high standards of safeguarding practices for the welfare and protection of children, young people, and vulnerable adults involved in its activities.

Key responsibilities may include: 

• Policy oversight
• Compliance and risk management
• Training and awareness
• Reporting and accountability
• Board oversight

Trustees are volunteers who are recompensed for expenses incurred only. They will be expected to attend a quarterly board meeting and a further quarterly sub-committee meeting.
