Active Choices Celebrate With A Penalty Shoot Out
As our Active Choices programme continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary, participants took to Pride Park Stadium.
During half time at the Rams’ goalless draw with Exeter City, 10 participants from the Active Choices programme made their way onto the pitch for a penalty shootout. The group, which was made up of past participants who are in long term recovery and current participants who are just starting their journey, had success from the spot with six scoring their penalties.
Adam Rowley, Health Team Leader, said: “It was a special experience for our participants to take part in. Not everyone can say they’ve scored a penalty at Pride Park Stadium.
“I’m pleased we were able to bring back former participants for this and to celebrate their long-term recoveries and show our current participants where they are heading if they continue on their journey.
“We’ll be continuing to celebrate the programme’s 10-year anniversary and the amazing work of past and present staff and participants for the rest of the year.”
