Wellbeing Wellbeing

About

Winning Minds is our flagship youth mental wellbeing project which is delivered across schools.

The gap in provision for the support of young people’s wellbeing locally and nationwide has been clearly identified and we are able to try and help make a difference within our communities.

Winning Minds engages children and young people through a leadership and personal development programme, aiming to develop their personal skills such as confidence and self-esteem.

Participants will gain the chance to undertake accredited leadership qualifications, complete the Winning Minds Developmental Programme and be provided with volunteering opportunities. Participants will also take on their own social action projects within their local communities to advocate the power of youth voice on issues including: anti-bullying, LGBTQ+ awareness, mental health and anti-racism.

Please note we offer a maximum of 12 months support for children and young people accessing these programmes.

“There is a mental health crisis for children and young people as one in eight have a diagnosable mental health condition, but at the moment the NHS is only able to support about one third of those in need”
