TIPS Easter Holiday Report
Over the Easter Holidays our TIPs sides took part in various tournaments. The players all put in good performances and were able to take plenty of positives from the games.
Here is the full round up of how they got on!
Monday 11th April.
The Under 7s played in a group of four which included two sides from West Brom and one from Walsall. Their results included two draws and a lose in the group stages before winning their 5th/6th play-off match to finish 5th overall in the tournament.
The Under 8s played in a group which included West Brom, Walsall and Alvechurch. Their results included two wins and a draw in the group stages which meant they finished top. Despite being unbeaten in the group, they unfortunately lost in the final. However, finishing 2nd in the tournament was still a great achievement.
Wednesday 13th April.
In the Under 9s tournament, they played in a group of four which included West Brom, Walsall and Arden Forest. Their results included one draw and two loses in the group stages before winning their 7/8th play-off match to finish 7th overall in the tournament.
Thursday 21st April
The Under 10’s played in a group of four which included West Brom, Walsall and Solihull Moors. Their results included two wins and one loss in the group stages before winning their 3rd/4th play-off match.
Friday 22nd April
In the Under 11s tournament they played in a group of five which included two West Brom teams, Walsall and York. They picked up results two wins and a draw with one loss in the group stages. A semi-final against Walsall was to follow which they won meaning a final against the West Brom’s side who they lost against in the group. The players put in a brilliant performance which included a fantastic goal to come out 1-0 winners and collect the trophy.
Elsewhere the Under 12s played in a group which included West Brom, Walsall and York. Their results included one win, one draw and one lose. A semi-final against Walsall was to follow, which they won. They faced off against West Brom, who they were beaten by in the group stage, in the final. The players produced a much improved team display in the final however West Brom came out winners.
Well done to all the players who represented the Derby County TIPs teams.
