Derby County Community Trust Supports Easter Food Collection

The aim of Derby Food 4 Thought Alliances' Easter 2023 campaign is to provide a breakfast and snack pack to 1000 children across the city, making sure that each child is provided with a pack for the two weeks of the Easter holiday. Each pack contains food to cover breakfast and snacks, as well as an Easter treat.
Along with the Trust, they are partnering with a number of organisations & schools across the city, with the aim of supporting those children in low-income families that are not eligible for the Free School Meals holiday schemes, such as HAF or vouchers, but are still in need of support.
The Breakfast and Easter Snack Pack will include six items (please put in a bag):
- Box of cereal
- Jam or chocolate spread
- UHT milk
- Any 2 snacks from list below
- Multipack of raisins or dried fruit
- Jelly pots, rice pudding, or custard pots
- Packs of fruit or fruit cake bars
- Fruit winders
- Rice cakes, multipacks of popcorn, or other healthy snacks
5. Easter treat - this can be an Easter egg, chocolate bar, or something of your choice.
Each pack will cost approximately £10 per child. You can purchase items yourself or sponsor a pack. To provide 1000 children with these packs will cost around £10,000 but will ensure that no child goes hungry this Easter and families struggling due to the cost-of-living crisis are supported.
You'll be able to drop packs off at Harrison's Hub on the following days:
Thursday 16th March - 11am-2pm
Saturday 18th March - 1pm-kickoff
Thursday 23rd March - 11am-2pm
Other food donations are also welcome.
