Derby County Community Trust Raises Over £1200 For Macmillan

Doughnut From Project D

Derby County Community Trust raised over £1200 for Macmillan through four coffee mornings across Derbyshire.

The Trust started out in Chesterfield at our Active Recovery chair-based exercise class, inviting our participants to enjoy a coffee and a doughnut, that were kindly donated by Project D.

Our staff then came together to help raise funds in a staff coffee morning. We held a third coffee morning in Normanton, where our Health and Wellbeing programme supported our fundraising efforts before our biggest event at Pride Park Stadium.

Over 200 people attended the mornings, helping raise over £1200 through raffle tickets and donations to support a great cause.

Hannah Stanier, Cancer Support Co-ordinator, said: “It has been a fantastic week raising a considerable amount for what is an amazing cause.

“We’re so grateful for everyone who attended and helped make this possible. It was nice to see participants from across our programmes come together alongside partners and supporters of the Trust.

“Macmillan Cancer Support fund some of our important work in cancer awareness and rehabilitation, so to be able to give something back is really important to us.”
